LTTE cadres in Colombo to kill Ministers

The security was beefed up in Colombo with more road checkpoints and 9 new barriers because the LTTE cadres have infiltrated into Colombo to assassinate senior ministers and politicians, said the SSP of Colombo City Traffic YGRLM Lafir.
Several places are banned from parking vehicles on the recommendation of Defence Secretary for security reasons. The traffic congestion was also reduced by this act, he said.
At the same time police detected a powerful 15 Kilo claymore mine on the beach road of off Chalimond Road, Wellawatta, Colombo.
