image    Security forces have taken measures to summon the war refuges back to government controlled territories in Mannar and Vavuniya districts from the safe havens they have sought from Kilinochchi district.  Around 200,000 people have fled to Kilinochchi district and they remain there since the LTTE does not allow them to go to the government controlled territory.  Government aircrafts have dropped leaflets asking these refugees to cross into the government controlled territory and the roads are to be opened for their safe migration through the areas where fighting do not occur .  These displaced people lack basic facilities and several international organizations accused last week that they were kept as human shield. Meanwhile, Army states that three entry points will be open for the refugees to migrate into the government controlled territory. Major General Jagath Jayasuriya, the Commanding Officer of Vanni exposed this at a meeting held with the Divisional Secretariats. However, the exact entry points are yet to be revealed.  He further said that the displaced people would be provided with relief with the assistance of the International Committee of Red Cross and other relief organizations of United Nations.
